Remote Freelance Assistant Pattern Maker

Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated and talented Remote Freelance Assistant Pattern Maker to join our team. As an Assistant Pattern Maker at Katkow, you will play a crucial role in creating digital patterns using Clo3d software and Adobe Illustrator. You may also be responsible for pattern testing and sewing, and creating/updating PDF patterns.

Katkow is a leading online pattern making shop specializing in creating high-quality sewing patterns made for drag queens. We take pride in our commitment to diversity and creativity, providing a platform for individuals to express themselves through fashion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize 3D digital pattern making skills to create accurate and detailed patterns.
- Grade patterns for our unique body type size range, digitally.
- Create printable PDF pattern layouts.
- Create user-friendly instruction guides.
- Conduct pattern testing to ensure quality, fit, and functionality of the designs.
- Revise and update archive patterns.
Requirements:
- Strong sewing skills and a deep understanding of garment construction.
- Proficiency in Clo3d digital pattern making software.
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator for pattern manipulation and layout creation.
- Beginner experience or currently enrolled students in a similar program is acceptable.
- Passion for the fashion industry, with a particular interest in creating patterns for drag queens.
Compensation:
This position is offered on a freelance basis with compensation based on an hourly rate project by project. There are no benefits associated with this role. The selected candidate will have the opportunity to work remotely and flexibly. We believe in fair compensation for your valuable contributions to Katkow. Please respond with your hourly rate.
